We had the pleasure of traveling to the East side of Michigan to join Jake and Lizzy for their weekend-long wedding celebration. They were married outdoors on a perfect 80-degree Michigan summer day at the historic Meadow Brook Hall.
The ceremony took place in the mansion’s perfectly manicured rock garden. The officiant, a longtime friend of the groom, delivered a beautiful ceremony that was so personal to Jake and Lizzy and their love story. After Jake and Lizzy were announced as husband and wife, their guests joined them on the terrace for drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
Guests found their seats at the reception via a glass of champagne staged outside the venue’s stunning tent. The tent ceiling was draped beautifully complete with bistro lighting, which created such a romantic atmosphere. The couple chose soft and muted floral tones with brass accents on the tables and chairs, a perfect touch of warmth for the white tent. Jake and Lizzy had one of the largest head tables that we’ve seen, with seats for 40 guests! It was important to them that their dearest friends and family sat close to them to support them on this special day.
Jake and Lizzy’s love story was woven through so many details on their wedding day. These special touches included a personal ceremony delivered by a close friend, hard cider from Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill (the bride’s family farm and where the couple first met!), and koozie guest favors complete with a sketch of their pup!
It was such a pleasure working with such a kind couple and an honor to celebrate with them during this milestone. Congrats to the Moegle’s!
